We believe that Music is a fundamental part of life. It is a powerful form of communication and can influence the way pupils feel, think and act. The study and enjoyment of music aids the development of the whole child from co-ordination to confidence, posture to literacy. Music has the ability to excite and relax, challenge and entertain, increase self-discipline and develop social interaction.
In addition to curriculum music, girls can join the choirs, the school orchestra and Pre-Prep Mini-Strings. From Form II girls can apply for individual lessons in the instrument of their choice. Lessons include piano, flute, clarinet, saxophone, violin, cello, double bass and singing.
Girls have the opportunity to perform at various events such as Harvest Festival and our traditional Carol Service held at All Souls Church, Langham Place. The girls also perform regularly in assemblies and school productions.
