Open Mornings take place in October and February, and are open to prospective parents who wish to visit the school, regardless of their daughter’s date of birth. Parents can book Open Morning places by contacting the Registrar on 020 72910670, or by completing the online form which can be accessed here. Places will be necessarily limited and parents will be asked to complete a Contact Details Form prior to an Open Morning place being allocated. There are usually two arrival times and parents are shown around the school by our Form VI pupils. The Headmistress, Deputy Head and Registrar, will be available after your tour to answer any questions you may have.
As many of our prospective Reception parents will have attended an Open Morning several years before their daughter is due to join the school, a second opportunity to tour the school is offered in the September prior to the year of entry. Parents of children registered on our applications list are automatically invited to bring their daughter to visit the school and spend one hour with our Reception teachers. This is a group visit of no more than 8 children. Although we are not academically selective for entry into Reception, this visit is to ensure that all girls who are offered a place are able to make the most of the opportunities available at Queen’s College Prep. While the children are in the classroom, parents are given a tour of the school by a member of our Senior Leadership Team. These visits begin after half term, in late October/early November and take place over several weeks.
Following the group visit, parents are invited to meet with the Headmistress for a private appointment, after which they are notified whether a place can be offered.
