Becoming a Council Member

The Council provides governance to both Queen’s College and Queen’s College Preparatory School. Council members are responsible for legal and regulatory compliance, high level strategic direction, the monitoring of educational standards and safeguarding. As a registered charity, Council members also act as trustees and carry the legal and financial responsibilities that accompany that status.

The Clerk to the Council, Crispin Morton, maintains a list of suitably qualified individuals who have indicated an interest in being considered for Council membership. If you have relevant experience and would be interested in finding out more about becoming a member of Council, please contact Crispin Morton on queens@qcl.org.uk.

Queen’s College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people in its recruitment and selection procedures and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. New Council members will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
